Altoona Area School District officials will spend nearly $25,000 to fix drainage issues at the district’s high school baseball field located next to Mansion Park Stadium.
The district received three bids from local contractors to install a French drainage system. Michael Ventre Excavating will complete the work for $24,875. Board president Ryan Beers says the move will keep water from ponding on the infield.
Officials say the field is higher at one end and that other – and that causes the flooding problems. Several baseball games were postponed following rain events because too much water was on the infield.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
