The Altoona Area School District will honor our region’s First Responders at tonight’s home football game against Kiski High School.
In remembrance of the tragic events which occurred on September 11, 2001, Honorary Captains for the game will represent AMED, the Altoona Fire Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, Logan Township Police Department, Altoona Police Department and the Altoona Area School District Police.
Among the Honorary Captains; Brandon Nicodemus, of the Altoona Fire Department, a former Altoona High School All State football player and member of the 1997 undefeated team, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Jeff Pettucci, a 1988 Altoona Area High School graduate, and Logan Township Police Patrolman Matt Massaro, a former Mt. Lion football player and 2003 Altoona Area High Sschool graduate.
