APD: Five Children Rescued from "Filthy" City Home
Two people are facing charges after Altoona Police had to remove five children from a filthy home Wednesday.
Around 1AM officers responded to 526 Fourth Avenue for a welfare check. There they found two adults passed out on the floor with a bottle of vodka and some pills nearby. Police found the children unattended on a dirty mattress in a second floor bedroom. Police say they found garbage and dog waste throughout the house.
27-year-old Ashley Boyles was arrested and charged with five counts of neglect and endangering the welfare of a child. 33-year-old Robert Pope was charged with resisting arrest and interfering with a police investigation.
Blair County Children and Youth Services agents were called in to take the children, who ranged from three to eight years of age. They were then turned over to a family friend for the time being.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
