Altoona Police say they are following several credible leads in connection to a weekend murder – but they still have not made an arrest.
Stephen Hackney was shot several times early Saturday morning inside the city home he had been sharing with another woman. Officers spent the past few days canvassing the neighborhood on the 100 Block of Walnut Avenue interviewing neighbors and searching for evidence.
Hackney – who was from Washington, D.C. – spent several months in prison for his role in a 2006 shooting incident that left one person injured and a city school on lock down. City police say Hackney was home alone when he was killed.
Anyone with information on Hackney’s murder is urged to contact Altoona Police.
