Altoona Mayor to Walk Against Crime

Altoona Mayor Bill Schirf will take to the streets today and talk with residents and business owners about crime prevention.
Schirf tells WRTA News he plans to visit each of the city’s 14 wards and 26 neighborhoods throughout the day. Schirf says he’s proud that crime has fallen during his 4-year tenure as mayor.
He plans to remind citizens to look out for each other. Schirf says his walk will likely take more than 12 hours to complete.
