Bear Hunting Results Weighed



The four day bear hunting period began on Saturday and results from the first day of Pennsylvania's bear harvest are being revealed.
 
More than 1,500 bears in 51 counties have been harvested and the top bear harvest county in the state on the first day of season is Lycoming with 151.
 
Nineteen bears were harvested in Blair County.
 
The total number is down more than 400 hundred compared to last year.
 
Timothy J. Moffett, of Barto, harvested the largest bear so far this season in Monroe County at 652-pounds.
 
The four day bear season wraps up on Wednesday.
