Blair Assessing Healthcare Law Changes on New Budget

The Blair County Commissioners are preparing to craft their 2014 budget – and officials say they are also looking at how the Affordable Healthcare Act will impact part-time workers.
Commissioner Terry Tomassetti says right now the board is reviewing each county department.
Tomassetti admits that for some part-time employees, that may mean a cut in hours – others may see additional hours. He says any substantial premium increase coupled with adding new workers to the plan will be unaffordable to the county taxpayers.
