The position of Director of Elections, left vacant by the recent death of Ingrid Healy-Tucker, will be filled by the Assistant Director.
The promotion of Sarah Seymour came about Monday at the Blair County Salary Board meeting.
In addition to Seymour moving into the Director’s position, the board agreed to open the assistant director of elections job at a salary range of $23,660 to $27,000.
Seymour’s annual salary will be $30,000.
Healy-Tucker, the former Director of Elections, died February 2 after being diagnosed with colon cancer in November 2011.
