A Blair County municipality is getting some state help to make much-needed repairs to its water system.
The Duncansville Municipal Authority is receiving a $2.5-million to construct a new drinking water storage tank. Part of the loan will also help pay for more than a mile of new water main that will eliminate pressure and service problems caused by corrosion in the existing distribution lines.
The loan – announced Tuesday – is part of an $84-million investment the state is making in 11 drinking water and wastewater projects in nine counties.
