Body Finally Recovered From Raystown Lake

A body has finally been recovered as a result of search efforts following a weekend drowning at Raystown Lake.

The body has been identified as 16 year old Huntingdon Area High School student Clay Bishop.

State police say the teen drowned on Saturday when he jumped from a 27-foot cliff located on Susquehannock Island and never resurfaced. Divers searched for the body Saturday through Monday with no results. On Tuesday evening rescue efforts were aided by unmanned submarines that located Bishops body.

The investigation into the death remains open pending an autopsy.
