Cancer has claimed the life of Blair County's Director of Elections, Ingrid Healy-Tucker.
 
She died Saturday at Altoona Regional after losing a fight with colon cancer. She was 54.
 
Even though battling the disease, Healy-Tucker worked last fall’s presidential election. She had been on the job since August 2008.
 
Friends will be received from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday followed by a memorial service at the Good Funeral Home Inc.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
