Casey Responds To Obama Plan To Reduce Gun Violence
U.S. Sen. Bob Casey Jr. says that President Barack Obama’s plan to reduce gun violence should be considered.
Casey said after reviewing the Sandy Hook shooting that took the lives of 20 children and six teachers in December, he supports reinstating a military-style assault weapon ban.
In a released statement Casey said that after reflecting on the power of the weapon and the number of bullets that hit each child in Sandy Hook, the reinstatement of a ban on military-style weapons and high capacity magazines are two common-sense steps that he supported.
In a letter to Vice President Joe Biden earlier this month, Casey said he also thinks mental illness is an issue that must be looked at, as well as gun control, but more federal funding to increase police enforcement is needed.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
