One person was sent to the hospital last night following an accident in Altoona involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian.
 
City police say that a little after 10:30, they responded to 7th Avenue and
29th Street where a preliminary investigation revealed that a 34 year old man was struck by a pick-up truck as he tried to cross 7th Avenue. The victim was transported to Altoona Regional for treatment of his injuries. His condition has not been released, nor have any names been released at this time.
 
The accident remains under investigation.
