City woman charged with endangerment while playing games

A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that police arrested 38 year old Erin Hipp for allegedly leaving her 3 month old in the backseat of her car while she went inside a convenience store and played games. She told police she was trying to win money to purchase diapers. Officers found the child inside the vehicle, covered with a blanket and wearing warm clothes. The child was turned over to Blair County Children and Youth Services. Hipp was arrested and charged with child endangerment and was taken to the Blair County jail. Upon further investigation police discovered that Hipp was also wanted on a arrant from Baltimore County Maryland for second degree child abuse.
