Commissioners: Former Eagleās Building Property for Sale
The Blair County Commissioners are selling the Downtown Altoona property that use to house the former Eagle’s Building.
County tax payers shelled out nearly $300,000 to have the building demolished in 2009 after it fell into a state of disrepair. The building had been in the county’s repository because of the non-payment of taxes.
Commissioner Terry Tomassetti says the county has had several inquiries about the site at 1104-06 12th Avenue. He says the county will accept bids over the next several weeks.
The county set a minimum bid price of $9,900 – but the property will ultimately need to be sold at fair market value. The commissioners say their goal is get the property back onto the county tax rolls.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
