The Blair County Commissioners will decide next week whether or not to extend Keystone Opportunity Zone tax extensions to three local properties.
The City of Altoona and the Altoona Area School District have already approved the request for two of the properties. They include the former Logan Township municipal complex and a developable track of land near the DeVorris Business Center. The third request is for the undeveloped part of the DeGol Industrial Center in Hollidaysburg.
Pat Miller of ABCD Corporation says the program designations work.
Miller says the KOZ program has been an attractive tool in bringing new business into the region.
