Gov. Tom Corbett’s son-in-law, a narcotics officer in Philadelphia, is under investigation by the FBI.
The Philadelphia Police Department confirms that a narcotics officer was taken off the street and placed on administrative leave Thursday, following the results of an FBI and Internal Affairs investigation but it would not identify the officer because no arrest had been made and no charges had been filed.
The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting their sources say the officer as Gerold Gibson, Corbett's son-in-law.
Gibson’s wife Katherine is a deputy attorney general in the Philadelphia office assigned to the Drug Strike Force section.
