DCNR Appoints New Manager at Canoe Creek State Park
Canoe Creek State Park is getting a new manager.
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources on Monday named Andrew St. John as manager of the popular Blair County recreation spot. St. John had been assigned as manager of the Susquehannock State Park Complex, headquartered in Lancaster County.
He will oversee 959 acres at Canoe Creek. The Canoe Creek State Park complex also includes the 554-acre Trough Creek State Park in Huntingdon County, and Warriors Path, totaling 349 acres, in Bedford County.
St. John replaces Steven Volgstadt, who recently retired. He’s been with the DCNR since 2005 and is a native of Hollidaysburg.
