Around noon today the 7.5 mile detour that has been in place since early March on the Business Route 220 bridge replacement project over the Little Juniata River near the Watts Road Intersection in Blair County will be lifted.
The contractor will be wrapping up minor construction items in the area and minor delays may be possible.
Overall work on the $2.2 million contract replaced a structurally deficient three span, reinforced concrete T-beam bridge over the Little Juniata River.
The contractor will return in the spring for some finishing touches to the project which has an overall completion date of May 30 of next year.
