Some Statistics on Divorce... Various studies on US rate of divorce show significant differences when a comparison is made in 1st, 2nd and 3rd marriage breakups in America. The marriage breakup rate in America for first marriage is 41% to 50%; the rate after second marriage is from 60% to 67% and the rate in America for 3rd marriage are from 73% to 74%.

What does the Bible say about miraculous speaking in tongues ?
This week while having lunch in a restaurant, I overheard people talking about the Gift of Tongues. The woman in the conversation was concerned about the gift of tongues not yet being manifested in her. The man seemed to reassure her that eventually some spiritual gift would manifest in her life. What does the Bible say about the Gift of tongues? Were tongues just languages of men or were they heavenly languages in an unknown tongue? Must people have the gift of tongues as evidence of having the Holy Spirit?

The Bible talks about Predestination, foreordination and election...Do these concepts match what John Calvin said? Most religious people think automatically about the doctrine of John Calvin when predestination is mentioned.
This is John Calvin’s definition of Predestination...“the eternal decree of God, by which he has determined, in Himself, what He would have to become of every individual of mankind. For they are not all created with a similar destiny...But, eternal life is foreordained for some and eternal death for others. Every man therefore being created for one or the other of these ends, we say is predestined either to life or to death.
