Epoxy Overlays Begin on a Blair County Bridge Preservation Project

PennDOT is reminding motorists that epoxy overlay work will begin this week on a preservation project on four bridges across Blair County.
Beginning tomorrow and continuing approximately two weeks, work will be done on the Frankstown Road bridge over I-99 in Logan Township, the 7th and 8th Street Bridges in Altoona and on Route 865 over Main Street in Bellwood.
During this time traffic will be reduced to a single lane controlled by flaggers and signage. Work will take place during daylight and nighttime hours. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling in these areas.
All work on this $775,000 project will be completed by Oct. 2013.
