A Logan Township family escaped an early morning fire at their home on Thursday.
The call came into the Blair County 911 Center around 7Am reporting the fire at 1814 28th Avenue.
Two children and a woman were able to get out of the structure safely.
Newburg Fire Chief Fred Schwarze says that firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the master bedroom of the 1-1/2 story home. There was however significant heat, smoke and water damage throughout the structure.
The fire is not considered suspicious but the cause has not yet been determined.
