An arrest has been made in connection with an early Thursday morning house fire that claimed the life of a toddler.
62 year old Aaron Wilson Dishong of 112 Wilt Lane, Apartment 102 in East Freedom was arrested last night and arraigned on charges of arson and homicide.
Three year old Daryl Etchison Jr. died in the blaze. His mother Brandy Etchison and his two-year-old sister Madison were flown to UPMC in Pittsburgh. Officials say that as of late last night Brandy was reported to be in critical condition while Madison was to be released from the hospital. Brandy Etchison’s husband was at work at the time of the fire.
Dishong has a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
State Police and the Fire Marshal’s office continue to investigate.
