Former APD Officer Enters Guilty Plea



A former Altoona Police Officer charged in a high-profile bar fight has entered a guilty plea.
 
On Thursday, Eric Kriner admitted to a charge of simple assault for his role in the 2010 fight at Pellegrine's lounge and also entered a guilty plea to a charge of conspiracy for hindering the investigation of the fight.
 
Kriner is to appear before Judge Timothy Sullivan on Wednesday March 13th for sentencing.
 
The criminal trial of Kriner's co-defendant, Duane Eichenlaub has been set for January.
