A local woman accused of stealing money from a Blair County sports organization has had her preliminary hearing delayed.
Court officials say Joanna Bartek is now due back in court on October 24th. Bartek has been charged with allegedly stealing more than $1,900 from the Roaring Spring Soccer Booster Club. She faces felony forger and theft charges.
Police investigators say the money went missing sometime between October 2012 and January 2013. According to a criminal complaint, Bartek had helped to handle the finances for the organization and forged someone else’s name on two checks.
