Local Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

A traffic stop in Blair County on Monday resulted in drug charges being filed against two people from Pittsburgh.

Just before 3:30 yesterday afternoon State Police pulled a vehicle over on I-99 in Antis Township.  When they observed what they are calling indications of criminal activity, they called a drug detection canine to the scene.  That led to a search of the vehicle which turned up a large cardboard box in the trunk.  In the box, troopers found 100,000 individually stamped bags of heroin with a street value of between 1and 1.5 million dollars.

The driver of the vehicle, 27 year old Amanda O’Kelley and a passenger, 44 year old Derrick Samuels were taken into custody.

O’Kelley’s six month old daughter was also in the vehicle and was released to Blair County Children and Youth services.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation). Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
