A former Logan Township Police officer has been laid to rest.
Bill Burrows was buried Thursday at the Grandview Cemetery with full military honors. Dozens from Blair County’s law enforcement community joined Burrow’s friends and family to remember the 58-year-old who lost his cancer battle on Monday.
Burrows battled with the bone and blood cancer for more than three years as the community rallied around him with blood drives and support. He served Logan Township for more than 22 years as a patrolman. He was also an active member of the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company.
Burrows also served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War.
