82 year old George Hammel Junior was reported missing Monday afternoon after failing to meet up with members of his hunting party.
A search was launched and a host of volunteers spent Monday night in the woods searching for him.
Hammel was eventually located around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon by a hunter, about a mile away from where he was last seen by his hunting party.
Hammel was transported to Altoona Regional Medical Center for observation due to underlying medical issues.
