Money No Object for City of Altoona

City of Altoona is facing additional spending cuts in an effort to balance the budget. City Council may have to consider possible layoffs and continuation of an undermanned police force.

But when it comes to recreation, money is no object. Councilman Mark Geis, Erik Cagle, William Neugebauer and Mayor William Schirf feel recreation is so important to the city they voted to borrow $1,000,000.00 just for that purpose. When asked which projects the money is targeted, the council members didn’t know but they definitely are going to borrow and spend. So you can see that foolish spending doesn’t occur only in Washington D.C.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation). Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
