Nurses to Deliver Petition to ARHS CEO

Nurses and other members of the local community will deliver a petition to the CEO of Altoona Regional Health System today expressing their concern about the hospital’s planned acquisition by UPMC.
Over 2,000 people have signed the petition in recent weeks, adding to the call for the ARHS Board to do its due diligence in this acquisition and make sure it is really in the best interest of Blair County residents and patients.
Altoona Regional Health System and UPMC have announced they plan to complete the acquisition by July 1. The group behind the petition says that to date, there have been no public forums or opportunities for members of the broader community to voice concerns.
