Penn State coaches begin another road trip next month to meet fans and alumni.
The Penn State Coaches Caravan tour begins April 30th with visits to a dozen locations over the next two weeks. Coaches last year went on a nine-day, 18-stop bus tour. Officials said Tuesday that the coaches will highlight a "One Team" philosophy, with the 31-sport athletic program along with "campuses, communities and constituencies all playing a role" in academic and athletic success.
O'Brien took over from longtime coach Joe Paterno last year and won the 2012 Paul "Bear" Bryant College Coach of the Year Award along with the Maxwell Club and AT&T ESPN coaching awards.
Penn State's season began with a 0-2 record before the Nittany Lions won eight of 10 games.
