A Philadelphia man was arrested Wednesday in Altoona on drug charges.
Altoona police got a tip that 25 year old Craig "Playboy" Sumpter, would be on a Greyhound bus enroute from Philadelphia to Altoona. The tipster stated that Sumpter had warrants for his arrest. Officers verified the validity of warrants, obtained a photograph of Sumpter, and waited for the Greyhound bus to arrive here in Altoona.
Once the bus arrived officers boarded the bus, located Sumpter and immediately placed him in custody. Officers found 126 individually packaged bags of marijuana hidden in the Sumpter's backpack.
