Rape Case Against SFU Football Player Headed To Trial

The case against an area college athlete accused of raping a Penn State Altoona co-ed at her Nittany Pointe apartment is going to trial.

At a preliminary hearing on Thursday testimony was heard by the 19 year old student who told the court that 18 year old Kalil Wynn, of Edison, New Jersey, held her down and raped her on November 11 after he and two of his friends were invited into her apartment.

During the proceedings the defense attorney for Wynn argued that there were inconstancies in the young woman’s testimony.

The female student met Wynn, a St. Francis University football player, and his friends as she was walking home from a party near the campus at around 3 a.m. She testified that the men seemed nice and because they had a mutual friend, she wasn't worried about being with them.

Wynn remains free on a $50,000 unsecured bond and is due back in Blair County Court in March.
