Shuster Supports Bill to Temporarily Suspend Federal Debt Limit
Congressman Bill Shuster cited a “no budget, no pay” provision as the main reason why he supported a bill on Wednesday to temporarily suspend the federal debt limit.
The legislation would allow the federal government to pay its bills and incur more debt through May 18. It passed by a vote of 285 to 144.
Shuster say that House Republicans have chosen to act in a responsible way to prevent the country from defaulting on the country’s debt, which would have significant economic consequences.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
