Spring Cove School District Budget Includes Tax Increase

Another Blair County school district has introduced a budget plan and this one features tax increases and job cuts.
On Monday evening the Spring Cove school board voted 6-3 in favor of the $22.4 million preliminary 2013-14 spending plan.
The budget raises property taxes the maximum level permitted under state law which would result in an increase of $25 annually for the average taxpayer.
No specific information was available on the job cuts but they include administrative and teaching staff.
