State Electors Cast Ballots for Obama

Pennsylvania's presidential electors have cast all 20 of their ballots for President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

Monday's outcome was expected but important, as electors in all 50 states cast their ballots to make the president's re-election official.

The ceremony in the House chamber at the state Capitol included brief speeches by Republican Gov. Corbett and Clifford Devine, who served as president of Pennsylvania electoral session.

Obama won all of the state's electoral votes when he carried Pennsylvania in the Nov. 6 election, defeating Republican nominee Mitt Romney by about 310,000 votes out of more than 5.7 million ballots cast.

The electors are political leaders, elected officials and party activists.
