Statue Honors Veterans at PNG Field

A new statue located outside of PNG Field will honor the children of local soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.
The project was the collaboration of the Altoona Curve Baseball team and the Pennsylvania National Guard. Local soldiers worked with businesses throughout Altoona and Blair County to raise the $15,000 needed to build the memorial.
Five-year-old Mason Hook, one of children honored when the statue was dedicated got to throw out the first pitch at Saturday’s game.
