Three More Arrests In "Operation Last Call" Drug Ring
Attorney General Kathleen Kane and Blair County District Attorney Richard Consiglio on Friday announced three additional arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of narcotics and prescription drugs throughout Blair County.
46 year old Jerome Green, of 2500 Washington Avenue Altoona, 41 year old Lisa Marie Richards, of 60 Horseshoe Drive, Altoona, 48 year old Jeannette Jo Novak, of 374 Ski Gap Road, Claysburg have all been taken into custody. Warrants are outstanding for the arrest of five other individuals.
The criminal charges are part of an extensive grand jury investigation and the latest phase of "Operation Last Call," which last year resulted in the arrest of 14 cocaine suppliers, distributors and dealers. The investigation effectively dismantled the largest drug distribution network ever identified in Blair County.
The arrests are part of an ongoing effort to target local, street-level dealers, who work in connection with upper-level dealers and organizations. Agents said the defendants charged were associated with drug suppliers, distributors and dealers who trafficked cocaine and other illegal substances between Maryland and Central Pennsylvania.
Over the course of the investigation, agents and local police made a series of undercover and controlled purchases in and around Blair County.
