Traffic Stops Lead To Drug Arrests In Duncansville and Altoona
A pair of routine traffic stops in Blair County on Thursday resulted in drug charges being filed in each instance.
In the first incident, 32 year old Neil Meyers, a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by Duncansville police was arrested after officers thought he was acting strange during the stop and consquently discovered four bundles of heroin. In addition to the felony drug charge of possession with intent to deliver, Meyers was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for an assault charge filed by State Police.
The second incident happened late last night in Altoona.
City police tell WRTA NEWS that just before midnight a vehicle driven by James Brunson was pulled over on the 2400 block of Broad Avenue. During the stop Brunson was found to be in possession of a small amount of pot. While being processed for that crime he was found to be holding 13 small bags of cocaine. He now faces a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver.
