United Way of Blair County Annual Campaign Kickoff
United Way of Blair County’s 2013/14 Annual Campaign to raise funds to positively impact the lives of Blair County residents gets underway today.
Last year’s campaign is impacting 39,000 individuals who have either received or will be receiving services through: twenty-five programs funded by United Way grants.
Those programs include: Toasty Toddlers (winter coats to infants and preschoolers), Stuff the Bus (school supplies and backpacks to children pre-K through twelfth grade), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, Prom Gown distribution, Familywize Prescription Discount Cards; and the 838 volunteers who provided 28,500 hours of service to the community through United Way of Blair County.
All told, United Way of Blair County’s impact through its 2012-2013 campaign totals over $1,666,000.
