Vacant Structure Burns In Altoona



The month of June gets underway with yet another fire in Altoona.
 
The call came in around 1:30 this morning reporting a structure fire on the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue across from the Cricket Field Plaza.
 
Altoona Assistant Fire Chief Edward Barstow tells WRTA News that crews arriving on scene found heavy fire on the second floor.
 
The fire remains under investigation.
