While Search For AASD Superintendent Narrows, Investigation Into Raises Continues
The list of candidates for Altoona Area School District Superintendent has been whittled down to three.
A second round of interviews is being planned as the district looks for the successor to Superintendent Dennis Murray, who will be retiring at the end of the school year.
The 72 year old Murray has held the position for 29 years.
While the search for a new superintendent continues, the investigation into raises handed out to district administrative staff members also continues.
School board members directed Dave Andrews, attorney for the district, to look into the matter following board President Ryan Beers revelation last week that he had documented several salary raises from 2007 to 2010 that hadn’t received board approval.
Murray says he will address Beer’s concerns when he returns to his duties after recovering from a recent shoulder surgery.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
