The 7th Annual Blair County Strikes Back at Autism will be 6:30 to 9:30 Friday night July 25th at Holiday Bowl on Orchard Avenue and Plank Road in Altoona.  Team registration is $200, individuals $40, lane sponsorship is $150 and proceeds will assist those in Blair County with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  For information and registration call 329-3427
St. Francis University’s Dorothy Day Center will have their Bi-Annual Tag Sale 8am to 3pm Saturday July 26th and a special Early Bird Preview 5 to 8pm Friday the 25th with a $5 admission.  It’s at the Stoke Auxiliary Gym at St. Francis University in Loretto.  Proceeds benefit their financial assistance program
Saint Benedict Church will have their 57th Annual Homecoming Festival Friday, Saturday and Sunday July 25th through the 27th.  Friday’s Ethnic Foods Night starts 5pm, Events Saturday start at Noon, Mass is at 4, and entertainment includes Karaoke, “Shades of Leather” and “The Sharptones”. Sunday’s Chicken BBQ is 11 to 2, and entertainment includes Clay Bowers and “White Shadow.” The church is at 100 Main Street in Carrolltown
Juniata United Methodist Church will have their Street Fair 4 to 7pm Saturday July 26th. There’ll be a JABA Paranormal Investigation Equipment Show & Tell 6:30pm Tuesday July 29th at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library.  It’s a fundraiser for the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, and admission is FREE, but they’ll be collecting donations of pet food, treats, toys, cat litter, bleach, towels, sheets and more
The Altoona Symphony League is sponsoring a bus trip to see “Music of The Night – The Songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber” at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster Thursday August 28th.  Cost is $80 covering ticket and transportation.  The bus leaves Altoona 10am.  Reservations are due by August 8th; call 942-4482
