Blair County’s Official Trick or Treat Night will be 6 to 8 Thursday October 30th in all municipalities except Williamsburg, which will be the 31st.  Blair County Police agencies remind parents to walk with small children, make they’re wearing visible costumes and to inspect all candy
Altoona Community Theatre and the Blair County Arts Foundation will present a Ghost Tour of the Mishler Theatre Wednesday October 29th and Friday October 31st, 6 to 8 each evening with tours scheduled every 15 minutes.  It’s an hour-long journey through the historic Mishler from the balcony to the basement dressing rooms where a variety of ghosts will tell you how they met their demise at the theatre.  Note: there are steps on the tour. Our Lady of Fatima Church is having a Pierogie Sale.   Pierogies are fresh, homemade and frozen, either potato, potato with cheddar, cooked cabbage or sauerkraut with dill, and cost $7 a dozen.  They can be picked up November 19th at the Rectory, 2010 12th Avenue in Altoona from 3 to 6pm, but must be ordered by Noon Friday October 31st by emailing or by calling 942-0371
