Second Suspect Arrested Following Ashville Shooting
State Police have arrested a second man in connection with a shooting last Thursday at an Ashville bar.
Troopers took 24-year-old Edward Lebo into custody on Monday and charged him with aggravated assault. Lebo and 33-year-old Philip Paul Gaida are charged with assaulting Jeremy Culp and a fourth man during an altercation that occurred inside the Ashville Inn. The fight spilled into the parking lot, where Gaida is charged with using a .40 caliber handgun to shoot Culp in the buttocks. He’s still recovering.
Gaida was taken into custody Friday after turning himself in. He’s facing aggravated and simple assault charges. Gaida and Lebo remain free on bond. Both will face a preliminary hearing at a later date.
