Pirate Pitcher To Make Rehab Appearance In Altoona



Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jeff Karstens will make a rehab appearance with the Altoona Curve at Peoples Natural Gas Field tonight.
 
Karsten is trying to return to the Bucs after suffering a shoulder injury.
 
Karstens is slated to throw a limited number of pitches in his rehab assignment which should translate to three innings. He has been on the disabled list for just over a month with right shoulder inflammation.
