PA Firm Announces $380-Million Gas Pipeline Expansion
A Pennsylvania company will invest $380 million to expand natural gas pipelines in the state.
Penn Virginia Resource Partners, L.P., of Radnor, said Monday that some of the expansions to its Lycoming County pipeline will begin in the next two weeks and be finished later this year. Other parts of the project will continue through 2018.
The company says it has signed long-term distribution agreements with several major gas drilling companies, including a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell PLC and Range Resources.
The company says it ultimately plans to connect to the Tennessee Gas Pipeline 300, which aims to bring natural gas from Pennsylvania's gas-rich Marcellus Shale to markets in New Jersey and New York.
