Once again city residents could hear the sound of fire engines screaming through Altoona this morning.

This time it was a vacant building fire at 816, 7th Avenue.

City Fire Chief Renny Santone tells WRTA News that the call came in around 9:20.

The owners we’re in the process of rehabbing the building which was last used as a haunted house about a year ago.

Santone says fire crews had a handle on the situation quickly.
