Governor Tom Corbett is expected to meet with top party figures and supporters amid criticism of his administration just as a group aligned with Democrats is launching a television ad attacking his policies.
The founder of the group, the American Working Families, said it plans a 30-second TV ad to begin running Wednesday on televisions across Pennsylvania for two weeks.
The ad is critical of funding cuts for health care and education under Corbett.
Meanwhile, Corbett was set to meet Tuesday with top advisers and supporters amid discontent from fellow Republicans over his ability to forge policy and broadcast a persuasive and strong public message.
Corbett, the former state attorney general, took office last year. Critics say he lacks the ability to get any meaningful legislation accomplished.

Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
