Five Day Detour Set for Ironville Bridge Replacement Project
PennDOT says contractors will begin roadway tie in work for the new Ironville Bridge on Route 1014 over the Little Juniata River in Tyrone Township.
The work will require a five day detour along with 24 hour flagging. Traffic will be routed onto Route 453 and around the construction site. Once the tie in work is completed the contractor will switch traffic onto the new roadway and will begin demolition of the old structure.
Overall work on this project consists of replacing the existing bridge that carries Route 1014 over the Little Juniata River with a new bridge that will be constructed on a different alignment further downstream. The current structure will not be closed until the new structure is completed.
The $2.1-million project is expected to be completed by mid-October 2012.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
