A new farm market will open up later today in Altoona.
The Juniata Farmer’s Market will be held Thursday afternoons in the old Sheetz parking lot on 4th Avenue. The market will be open every Thursday from 3:00PM to 6:00PM and will stay opened through November.
The combined efforts of the Blair County Conservation District and the Southern Alleghenies Conservancy will feature seasonal fruits and vegetables, cheese, fresh herbs, wine samples, mushrooms, fresh cut flowers and soap.
The long-running farmers’ market at Heritage Plaza will continue on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 2:00PM.
